Service Description

If you are looking for a fun way to exercise, fencing is for you! You should know that fencing is not just for kids! :) This class is a great opportunity for teenagers, adults and older folks who are interested in learning the exciting sport of fencing. Fencing is a great physical and mental activity for body and soul! This class is designed to introduce and teach athletes to basics of fencing: definitions and terms, moves, positions, rules, target work and some sparing. The class will progress to the next level as group members progress in their skills, abilities and knowledge. Teens and adults fencing classes are offered twice a week, every Monday and Tuesday at 5:30-6:30 PM. Cost $200/month and 20% discount is available to family members. About Fencing: The modern Olympic sport requires fencers to be of the fittest of athletes and have levels of skills, which require many hours of dedicated training. In learning the skills of attacking and defending with the fencing weapon (foil in our case) fencers develop good coordination, balance and flexibility which makes fencing training an ideal means of keeping fit for all ages, sexes, and abilities. For the class: - Must bring personal water bottle - Must wear athletic attire: t-shirt, long pants, athletic shoes. - Clean gym shoes only. Muddy and dirty shoes will not be allowed in the gym. NOTE: dresses, skirts, flip-flops, sandals, boots, heels or jeans to the class ARE NOT ALLOWED in the class. - For long hair, please secure with hair tight/accessories to keep face and eyes open. - No food or sugary drink are allowed in the gym. Please bring only water. - Stay home if feel sick Registration and Make-up class policy: - Must register online and pay the invoice before coming to the class. - Fencers are expected to attend on the days registered. If must miss a class for some reason, please contact the coach directly. - No refunds will be issued. Fencing equipment: All new fencers receive 60 days (2 month) of free equipment rental in their trial period. After the trial period, all fencer will be required to either rent the equipment from the gym or buy their own set. - Beginner set rental cost is $35/month - Intermediate set rental cost is $45/month that will include electric gear - You can look and buy used equipment that will save you lots of money.

Cancellation Policy

When you register for a class, you reserve a spot for your athlete in the group. When the class is full, this will prevent from others to register. You will be enrolled in monthly recurring payments. You can cancel anytime as long as you notify us by the 15th of the month before the next transaction. To cancel your recurring payments, please e-mail your coach directly by the 15th of the month. There will be no cancellations or refunds processed after the 15th of the month and you will be charged fencing classes tuition for the following month.
